Fasting for the End time Harvest is on the Rise
Fasting and Prayer '96

November 14-16, 1996

"As satan knows one of God's most important weapons, he has hidden it from the church. Fasting and prayer is God's gateway to supernatural power", said pastor Ronnie Floyd at the Fasting and Prayer '96 gathering at the St. Louis America's Center, Nov. 14-16, 1996. Nearly 4,000 Christians representing many denominations and parachurch organizations gathered to respond to the call to fast and pray for spiritual revival in America and the world and for the fulfillment for the Great Commission.

Dr. Bill Bright, chief organizer of the conference and founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, shared his vision, "The Holy Spirit impressed upon my heart that two million Christians in America will fast for forty days by the end of the year 2000". Dr. Dick Eastman, president of Every Home for Christ, reports an estimated 22 million Christians participated in short term fasting and prayer. This took place during the 1993 and 1995 "Praying through the Window" campaigns.

There are quite a number of Christians around the world who fast twelve hours every day. We have heard the good news that some prayer warriors in China and S. Korea even fast for forty days twice a year and it is on the rise. The purpose of these prayers and devotions is to hasten the spread of the Gospel and to awaken the nations spiritually.

God is going to bring an abundant harvest from these fastings that is going to shake he nations on earth with great spiritual awakenings. This God anointing weapon will powerfully pave the way for the second coming of Jesus Christ. It is His timely calling for all members of the body of Christ to participate in this heroic parade that serves as a catalyst for fulfilling 'His will be done on earth'.

"Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD"(Joel 1:14).
